The NYC Housing Preservation and Development Authority colaborated with Dunn Development / L&M Development companies to create affordable housing in the space once occupied by the Navy Prison near the Brooklyn Navy Yard in the Fort Greene/ area of Brooklyn. The result was 460 residential units, commercial and community spaces and a large and inviting park in the center.
Started in 2010 the first phase of the project included an 8 and 12 story towers and a homeless support building. The new project which commenced in mid 2014, will feature 23 multi-level townhomes to create a truly integrated project with both affordable housing and market rate townhomes.
